WATIGA was founded by Matt Richards. Matt is a qualified lawyer, admitted to practice in Australia, England, New York and Singapore. Matt has practiced in the leading American law firms of Latham & Watkins, Sidley Austin and Baker & McKenzie. Prior to founding WATIGA, Matt was the general counsel and an equity partner with a top-tier Indonesian-focused private equity fund manager.  Proficient in Bahasa Indonesia, Matt commutes regularly from Singapore to Indonesia and within the region. 


Matt holds the Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours), Bachelor of Asian Studies (First Class Honours) and Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from The Australian National University. Matt is also a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, holds the Executive Diploma in Directorship from the Singapore Management University / Singapore Institute of Directors, and is a Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators.

A veteran lawyer, Aloysius Leng has over 40 years of experience in contentious litigation work and non-contentious general advisory work from his role as Managing Director at AbrahamLow LLC. His expertise ranges from civil litigation to intellectual property.


Aloysius’ experience in intellectual property involved registration of trademarks and service marks, patents, and designs, and acting as trademark and patent agent. Aloysius is a registered Patent Agent in Singapore and is a member of the Asian Patent Attorneys Association.


Aloysius is a Commissioner for Oaths and Notary Public. He is a qualified arbitrator and a Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators, and a member of Complaints Board of the Singapore Medical Council.


Aloysius graduated with a Bachelor of Law and Masters of Law from the National University of Singapore. Aloysius is admitted to practice as a lawyer in Singapore.

An experienced lawyer, Tan Ter Yee has over 30 years of experience in conveyancing and real estate from her role as Director and head of Real Estate at AbrahamLow LLC. Her expertise in real estate ranges from sale and purchase of residential, commercial and industrial properties, leasing and to securitisation and financing.


Specifically, Ter Yee is adept in handling complicated issues arising out of matrimonial, estate and trust matters, as well as legislative changes. Ter Yee is also experienced in assisting clients with estate planning, advising on wills and succession matters. Ter Yee is also a Commissioner for Oaths and Notary Public.


Her clientele is wide-ranging, from the high net-worth individuals to general retail clients. She also acts for many local and international financial institutions, statutory boards and small and medium enterprises.


Ter Yee graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Warwick and is Barrister at Law (Gray’s Inn). Ter Yee is admitted to practice as a lawyer in Singapore and is a non-practising member of the English Bar.
