MATT RICHARDS
OUR FOUNDER and MANAGING DIRECTOR
Matt is the founder of WATIGA and was previously the General Counsel and Partner of Quvat Management Pte Ltd in Singapore, an Indonesia-focused private equity investment manager. Between 2006 and 2013, Matt was an Independent Director and Audit Committee member of China Yuchai International Limited, one of the largest diesel engine manufacturers in China and listed on the New York Stock Exchange. Matt was in private practice in Singapore as an international lawyer between 1999 and 2007.
Matt holds a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice, Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) and Bachelor of Asian Studies (First Class Honours) from the Australian National University. Matt is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds an Executive Diploma in Directorship from the Singapore Management University and the Singapore Institute of Directors. Matt is also a qualified arbitrator and a Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators.
Matt is admitted to practice as a lawyer in England, New York, Singapore and Australia.
Matt is proficient in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
